Introducing the world's first inkjet printer/cutter for metallic silver ink, available exclusively from The revolutionary new XC-540MT combines the robust functionality of the award-winning SOLJET PRO III XC-540 54" printer/cutter with metallic silver ink. Roland Intelligent Pass Control® assures the highest productivity while maintaining smooth gradations and flawless solid colors. By merging unattended printing and automated contour cutting into a single device, the XC-540MT streamlines the production process for labels, decals, POP, banners, signs and vehicle wraps. For laminated graphics, Roland's four-point Quadralign® optical registration system realigns the cutting path and compensates for skew and distortion.. Express Your Ideas Brilliantly with New ECO-SOL MAX Metallic Silver Ink With the XC-540MT, six radiant colors are yours to explore — CMYK + Silver and White — and the results are stunning. ECO-SOL MAX Metallic Silver ink transforms CMYK into a spectrum of new metallic hues including golds, bronzes and a wide range of pearlescent colors. A double white ink model is also available for the brightest white text, graphics and floods. Advanced Ink Circulation System Dramatically Lowers Running Costs The XC-540MT comes with an automated ink circulation system that prevents the pigment in silver and white inks from settling. Roland's unique system requires no manual intervention and reduces ink waste by up to 84% for lower running costs. The system also enables printing immediately after turning on the device for maximum productivity and exceptional image quality throughout the production runs. Quadralign For laminating graphics, simply remove prints, laminate and reload them for precision cutting. The Quadralign four-point optical registration system automatically realigns the cutting path and compensates for skew and distortion. The XC-540 can also function as a stand-alone vinyl cutter. ECO-SOL Max Inks
The XC-540 was designed with high-volume production in mind and comes standard with a protective removable tray for Roland’s 440ml ECO-SOL MAX cartridges. The XC-540 and VersaWorks 2.0 monitor ink levels in both 220ml or 440ml cartridges and post a warning when levels run low. Versaworks RIP Software Click here to view info on Versaworks Rip Software. Precision Firing Pattern The XC-540 precisely controls droplet placement in both the print head travel and paper feed directions to provide up to 1440 x 1440 dpi resolution. It uses a digital servomotor to control the media and features Piezo print heads. Variable droplet technology uses micro-precise ink droplets of three different sizes depending on the type of output. This state-of-the-art technology delivers truly breathtaking output with beautifully smooth, dot-free tones even at high print speeds. When printing at higher speeds, many printers can produce only low density color with severely reduced image quality. Roland’s unique Precision Firing Pattern was designed to achieve the highest printing speeds possible while maintaining vibrant, high-density colors. To achieve this, the XC-540’s Precision Firing Pattern uses Light Ink Control, a powerful VersaWorks feature that reduces the impact of banding in bi-directional modes and of white banding caused by slight feeding errors. The feature raises ink density by increasing the ratio of Lc and Lm, resulting in smaller spaces between the landed dots. The XC-540 takes advantage of this advanced firing pattern for unparalleled image quality in every print mode. In addition, Roland’s in-line head configuration eliminates the need for lengthy calibration procedures and costly down time. To further ensure the highest print quality, VersaWorks supports industry standard ICC profiles. In addition, VersaWorks comes with several Roland media profiles and is compatible with profiles created through standard profiling packages. An updated list of profiles can be accessed through the Roland@NET service. Advanced Media Handling A true production printer, the XC-540 features an upgraded media feed and take-up system accommodating rolls of up to 30 kg. for long, unattended printing. Seven permanent repositionable pinch rollers enhance image quality through even the longest print runs. In addition, the XC-540 features media guides, a vacuum platen and twin head heights to ensure correct media feed for thin or lighter media. Integrated Tri-Heater System The XC-540’s integrated tri-heater system dries prints quickly even in high-speed modes for immediate finishing, installation or collection by the take-up system. The system features three components: a pre-heater that improves media receptiveness, a print heater to accelerate ink fastness and brightness, and a dryer to accelerate the drying process and improve productivity, workability and scratch resistance. All can be controlled from either the printer panel or Roland VersaWorks. DU-540 Dryer System The DU-540 Heater/Blower is packaged with the XC-540 and offers users several advantages, including the ability to print highly saturated images at full speed while using the take-up rollers. Image transfer and sticking caused by rolling up wet images are elimated. For increased media feeding accuracy during print/cut operations, the DU-540 also enables users to take full advantage of all the XC-540 pinch rollers. . High Speed Network Connection Equipped with a new Roland-engineered 100 BASE-TX/10 BASE-T interface, the XC-540 connects seamlessly to office networks without additional software, achieving an increased data transmission rate of 100 Mb/sec. This makes it easy to configure a highly efficient printing environment. Low Running Costs ECO-SOL MAX boosts the performance of Roland’s SOLJET and VersaCAMM inkjets at low running costs that both you and your customers will appreciate. For a low-density image, we estimate an average ink cost of $.16 per sqft. and an average media cost of $.30 per sqft. for a total of $.46 per sqft. For a high-density image, we estimate an average ink cost of $.28 per sqft. and an average media cost* of $.30 per sqft. for a total of $.58 per sqft. Extended Warranty There's no question that Roland inkjets combine unbeatable performance with legendary Roland reliability. As further proof of their unmatched reliability, Roland is pleased to offer an unprecedented Five-Year Heads and all Warranty for selected products. All that's required for this bonus is return of the registration card with installation information within 30 days of your purchase and confirmation that Roland inks are running in the machine.
