Hewlett Packard are ready to take on the fine art graphics / photography market, with the release of their new Z series wide format printers.

The feature packed Designjet Z2100 printer sports a handy built-in i1 Spectrophotometer from GretagMacbeth.  This allows for built-in media profiling straight out of the box. HP have also made the move over to Pigment Based inks with the newly developed Vivera inks, promising a wide colour gamut and consistent reliable results.

The Designjet Z2100 offers a 8 colour solution using the standard CMYK plus Light Grey, Light Magenta, Light Cyan and Matte Black. The new Vivera Inks have allowed HP to dramatically increase its media portfolio and they have teamed up with “Fine Art Heavyweight” Hahnemuhle to further increase their media range.

Aimed directly at the fine art / photography market the Designjet Z Series is set raise the bar on Digital Fine Art Reproduction.
