The HP Designjet 500 printer is the professional printer at an exceptional price for small workgroups (1 to 3 people) in the fields of architecture, engineering, construction and mechanical design. It delivers ultimate line and photo quality with continuous tones, smooth transitions and a wide color gamut. The printer comes in two sizes, with a media path that is either 42 inches (107 cm) or 24 inches (61 cm) wide.

Ultimate photo quality is achieved using HP color layering and up to 1200 dpi resolution. Ultimate line quality, with lines as thin as 0.002 in. (0.05 mm) and an accuracy of +/- 0.2%, is the result of minuscule drops and continuous ink flow. Many more colors are available per printed dot as the printer layers different color ink drops over each other to create new colors.

The printer is ideal for small workgroups (1 to 3 people) and has print times as short as 90 seconds for D-size (A1-size) drawings. Drivers are easy to install and intuitive to use, an ink-set change takes less than 1 minute, the control panel is simple to navigate, and media loading is smooth and straightforward.
