Features
- Prints up to 44" - inches wide
- 1440dpi x 720dpi Epson Variable-sized Droplet Technology
- Support for large, unattended printing

- Increased print speed by using larger droplet sizes
- Excellent print durability
All three printers in the Epson STYLUS PRO 400 Series allow the option of
utilising 220ml ink cartridges, which are ideal in environments where large
and/or unattended print jobs are a matter of course. Even in less
print-intensive environments, the optional 220ml ink cartridges contribute
to an overall reduction in maintenance requirements.
Compared to previous pigment ink, Epson UltraChrome Ink contains double the quantity of pigment particles. This enables reproduction of brilliant colour that is superior to that of general offset printing and silver halide photography. Additionally, it enables exceptional image quality on a greater range of media including bond paper, tracing paper and other matte finish media such as newsprint.
One of the key factors in achieving absolute clarity in prints is precision
in the ink droplet formation process. By utilising Micro Piezo™ technology,
as opposed to a thermal or “bubble” system, the Micro Piezo print head is
capable of controlling the curvature (meniscus) of the upper surface of the
ink column at the print head nozzles. This Advanced Meniscus Control
(AMC) technology enables the Epson STYLUS™ PRO 400 Series printers to
deliver sharp, accurately placed spherical ink droplets on the print media.
This feature is of particular benefit in environments where accurate colour
and fine detail are required.
