About iMedia
Established in 1992 under the company name Mosfax, iMedia Imaging Supplies was a leading manufacturer of thermal fax rolls and cash register rolls.
With the decline of thermal fax, Mosfax turned its attention to the growing inkjet market and became a supplier to the architectural, engineering and large format copier markets as well as the higher quality inkjet market for point of sale, display, signage and proofing.
In early 2000 the company went through an ownership change and in July 2000, iMedia Imaging Supplies was established. It has since become one of the leading suppliers to the emerging large format digital printing industry, distributing media, large format printers, software and general consumable items.
In October 2007, iMedia was acquired by PaperlinX to expand its operations in Australia into the sign and display industry, as it has in Europe with the Robert Horne Group, by taking the iMedia brand to an Australian national identity. PaperlinX is the world’s leading fine paper merchant and Australia’s principal manufacturer of quality communication and packaging paper.
PaperlinX employs over 9,600 people in 28 countries and is in the top 200 public companies listed on the Australian Stock Exchange, trading under the ticker symbol ‘PPX’.
